GreenCem, an innovative renovation system from Asbo that uses a patented combination of aluminum strips and PU Cement. Developed and refined over five years, our system has proven to be an effective and durable solution for worn pig grates.
New requirements regarding the gap width of pig grates often require modifications in existing barns. In many cases, the grates are badly worn, leading to moisture absorption and pens that are difficult to clean. This can have a negative impact on hygiene and animal welfare.
Asbo has developed an innovative solution for this: the GreenCem renovation system. This system consists of aluminum profiles that are 4 mm high and are placed over the cracks of the worn grids. A PU Cement coating is poured between these profiles. The profiles act as dams and are perfectly embedded in the floor. The casting compound penetrates all the pits and worn parts of the existing grating, creating a watertight and extremely strong new floor. Your floor will be ready to use again within a few days and meet the latest standards. In addition, the new floor is liquid-proof in the top layer, which significantly improves hygiene in the barn.
Our profiles and coating, as well as the floor as a whole, have been extensively tested in laboratories. This involved simulating various aggressive chemicals that might occur in a barn, such as formic acid, lactic acid, butyric acid and phosphoric acid. Knitting feed spills were also considered. After these thorough tests, and after practical application with two rounds of animals, we released the product for production.
